Buddy Mills will be leaving University Church of Christ for a new ministry at the Broadway Church in Lubbock on December 1, 2007. We are so very sad to see him go, but send him with our blessings and thanks for all the ways he has blessed so many at UCC.
This blog is designed to do several things:
1. If you were a member of the UYG, a parent or appreciative friend of Buddy and Terry Mills during their 13-year ministry at University this is the place for you to leave a message and say so.
2. If you have digital photographs you could forward to us for use at a luncheon in their honor on Nov. 18, please forward them to Jackie Hughes at jrh01a@acu.edu
3. If you can attend the luncheon we would love to have you. RSVP's are not required but much appreciated. email Kimmy@uccabilene.org

You are truly an angel. You have been the best thing in my life for these past few months. You have helped me immensely in getting through life. You have given me opportunities I never would have even dreamed of having yet. You have supported me and you have loved me. You have given me a safe place to go and you have let me into your life. You have kept me accountable. You have prayed for me and with me. You have showed me God's Word. You have showed me love and friendship. I can't ever thank you enough or tell you how appreciative I am to have you in my life. I praise God every day for sending down this angel into my life. You are amazing, Buddy Mills. Buddy! Who are we supposed to go find when the church two-wheeler or trailer goes missing now? It's been great having you there at church. I know I'm in Oklahoma now, but it still won't be the same with you not down there. Thanks for everything you did while I was in the UYG. (Also, thank Terry for always holding out some extra at meals for some of us.)

It seems like just yesterday our youth group was interviewing you for the position at University Church. I remember sitting on the couch asking you questions about your life, faith, and goals for our youth group. I am so glad our group was the first to see you lead us. Even though we were not with you long, you impacted my life in so many ways. Best wishes as you start a new adventure in Lubbock. How lucky this church is to have such a gem! May blessings continue to rain down on you.
